Family Counseling

All families experience periods of stress due to any number of difficult situations. Conflict and poor coping skills can contribute to many symptoms in one or all of the family members involved.The goal in family counseling is to help each member gain skills to improve how they interact with one another. Some common areas addressed with families are:

  • Relating to and communicating with each other in healthy and respectful ways
  • Conflict resolution
  • Creative problem solving
  • Integrating blended families
  • Recognizing and appreciating each other’s strengths and differences
