Molly Sanborn

Molly is excited to serve at Hardy & Stephens as a psychotherapist intern to complete her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Molly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from North Central University and has over a decade of ministry experience working with adolescents through mentoring and public speaking.  Molly enjoys working with people of all ages, but her “sweet spot” is for teens and their families.  She also enjoys helping couples strengthen their relationships and is certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.

Molly draws from a variety of theoretical models including Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy.  She is passionate about helping people discover and use their strengths to overcome obstacles and to experience life abundantly.  She believes wholeheartedly that Jesus meant what He said in John 10:10 – that He came so that we may have “life to the full”.  Molly’s compassion for people comes from her relationship with Jesus, and she counts it an honor to integrate a faith based approach for her clients who welcome it.

Molly loves spending time with her husband and her two kids (ages 3 and 4).  She craves anything that is fun and adventurous including riding her scooter, creating obstacle courses for her kids, and sky-diving.  Molly counts it a joy to partner with the greatest counselor (the Holy Spirit) to bring hope and healing to those who need it.  She is grateful for the opportunity to offer counseling at no charge to those who lack insurance or the ability to pay for services.
Molly sees clients at these times in:
